Kris has more than a decade of policy action research, urban planning, and strategic management consultancies. Currently, she is the Executive Director and Chief Sustainability Officer of SmartCT, an NGO registered in the Philippines which aims to make smart cities open.
She is passionate about sustaining how digital transformation is being done in Asia especially in developing countries like the Philippines. She is trained under the ASEAN Smart Cities Leaders Programme of ASEAN Foundation, Smart Community Leadership of Pepperdine University, and Data Stewardship under The Gov Lab of New York University.
She also serves as a Member of Board of Trustees of The Maximal Impact Foundation in Belgium, as a Global City Mentor with Open Data Policy Lab - City Incubator, a Smart Sustainable Cities Instructor with IoT Academy and International Telecommunication Union Academy (ITU-Academy), and the Director for ICT and Cyber Relations of US-ASEAN Young Professional's Association.
On the personal side, she loves working out. She used to be an ultramarathoner and also trained Muay Thai and now does a lot of weightlifting and just started wall climbing.
